The U14 Girls Lady Wolverines – Blue, participated in their first Region Cup this past Feb. 2-3 in Ocala and advanced to the second round to be played this upcoming March 1-2 in Vero Beach.  The Region Cup is sanctioned by the Florida Youth Soccer Association and participants include the best teams of Florida from Jacksonville, in the North, over to Gainesville and Ocala, in the West, down to Vero Beach, in the South, including the Orlando area.  The Wolverines kicked off the Saturday afternoon match against the Flagler premier team.  In a very competitive match, the final result was a tie 0-0.  In a similar game on Saturday evening, the Wolverines faced the local team from Ocala.  Ocala scored first in a very doubtful goal called by the side referee in the first minute.  The Wolverines didn’t slow down and tied at 1-1 on a goal from Emily Davidson.  The game finished 1-1 in another tough and even game.  The Wolverines faced First Coast from Jacksonville Sunday afternoon in the last game of bracket play.  A victory was needed to advance to the next round without having to go to goal average.  A very determined team came to play their last game.  The Wolverines soundly defeated the Jacksonville team with goals from Aby Berrios (2), Emily Davidson and Sabrina Warning in a 4-0 victory.   The Wolverines, Ocala and Flagler finished with identical record of 1-0-2.  By goal average, the Wolverines finished on first on their bracket tied with Flagler.

Congratulation and well done Wolverines!

HCSC Shark's win 1st Place at the U'9 Disney Presidents day tournament !!!

The Sharks played Braden River Rage in the Final, whom they lost to 2-1 in their group encounter. They are a very strong team and actually won their group in Region Cup. The Sharks won the Final against them 4-3 in an end to end game. The Sharks managed to keep their nerve and played some great soccer throughout the game. The soccer on display all weekend was a great standard and it is a wonderful achievement for The Hunters Creek Sharks to win such an event. Well done to the coaches and players.
